Master's of Engineering in Technical Entrepreneurship (Lehigh University 2014)

 

Dear reader,

 

My name is Lance Rafael Fabia and I attended Lehigh University from 2009 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  Upon graduation, I reenrolled to pursue a Master's of Engineering in Technical Entrepreneurship.  I graduated with my master's degree in 2014 and then went on to a rotational position at TE Connectivity (TE).

 

Though I majored in engineering, my knowledge base and experience cover a far wider range of disciplines.  I have used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in the creation of logos, brochures, advertisements, and posters both as a consultant at Lehigh and as a marketing analyst at TE.  I have prototyped products using many mediums, including wood, metal, paper, and digital prototypes.  I have tinkered with electronics, soldered breadboards, and programmed Arduinos.  I have created simple code and web pages using HTML and C++, ran mathematical analysis uisng MATLAB, and created interactive reporting dashboards in Excel for supply chain programs at TE.  I am skilled at drawing, sketching, and drafting.  I have evaluated and created business models and marketing plans for a variety of companies during my master's program.  I can write and speak conversational Spanish, a skill that I have put to use in my time as a customer account specialist at TE.

 

However at the end of the day, I still possess the skillset of a mechanical engineer.  I have experience with many engineering programs such as NX I-DEAS, LabVIEW, VeriCut, and AutoCAD.  Through my years as a MechE, I have become an excellent 3D modeler with SolidWorks and have used this to my advantage in many projects.  As you can see, my immersion in the engineering and product development worlds has given me the flexibility and expertise to contribute to projects across many disciplines.
